I just dont know if the iTunes plugin is supposed to be installed on a generic install, or if ticking 'Enable iTunes plugin' is supposed to prompt a download of the plugin, or make just make it available on the server. I have tried putting the xml file the same directory as my music, editing the xml file to point to the correct source locations etc. Plex has an 'import from iTunes' feature but i cannot get this to work, and looking at previous forum posts, it seems i am not alone. I have been using iTunes for probably 15 years at this point so I have built up many playlists and to re-create them in Plex is not something i would consider, it would just take too long. I was hoping to get rid of iTunes and start using Plex for music, so that i can access my music remotely, but I really need to get my iTunes playlists imported before I can make the switch. I'm sure i read recently that plex removed this feature altogether but it is still showing as an option on my server.
